Sarah CostelloeSarah Costelloe

Sarah trained as a Speech and Language Therapist at the University of Reading, graduating with a BA in Linguistics and Language Pathology in 1997. She has worked for the NHS in Bury St. Edmunds and Gt. Yarmouth, working with children in a range of settings including mainstream schools, Special Schools and Language Units. She has specialised in working with pre-school children and was the community clinic team leader for 4 years. Her specialist interests are stammering and phonological disorders.

Sarah has recently been appointed by the Dominic Barker Trust to carry out research into stammering.

Sarah lives in Norfolk with her husband and young daughter.

Ruth JacksonRuth Jackson

Ruth originally graduated with a BSc in Physiology from Newcastle University. After spending a year working with adults with learning difficulties, she retrained as a Speech and Language Therapist and obtained an MSc in Speech Sciences from University College London. From 2002 to 2007 Ruth worked for the NHS in Gt. Yarmouth, gaining experience in a variety of areas including working in community clinics, mainstream schools, a Sure Start project and a Language Unit. She works with children with a variety of disorders, and has a particular interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Ruth also works with adults with learning difficulties. She has a particular interest in maximising communication through adapting their environment.

Ruth has recently been appointed as a Registered Intermediary for the Criminal Justice Service.  In this role she facilitates people with communication difficulties giving evidence in court.

Ruth lives in Norwich with her husband and two young children. 


Ruth and Sarah are State Registered Speech and Language Therapists. They are both members of the Health Professions Council (HPC), the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists (ASLTIP).

They adhere to the code of practice laid down by the above professional bodies.
